In accordance with the Rules of the .UA domain, domain names like firm.ua delegated only to the owners of the respective trade marks (word marks for goods and services).
Thus, for domain registration in .UA TLD is mandatory:
- Certificate of Ukraine for the sign for the goods and services issued by the authorized state authority (Gospatent);
- If the registrant (you, your company) is not the owner of the certificate - the agreement on the transfer of ownership of the mark, or the license agreement.
- If you are a holder of an international trade mark (with the territorial expansion to Ukraine under the Madrid Agreement), you must provide:
- Certificate from the Department of Intellectual Property on the legal status of the international registration of a trademark.
- Copy of the trade mark (usually the Department gives it together with the certificate).

Without a certificate, you can:
- register domain names in zones .com.ua, .*.ua, which remained available to the public
- contact a patent attorney for the subsequent registration of your trademark in the State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine
